Mission Statement: Our mission at CEM is to use our expertise in eye-care to bring better vision to individuals of the world who do not have the right eye-care.

It happens to many of us every morning. The alarm rings and we reach for our glasses. The world is in focus again and the morning routine can safely begin. For thousands, however, the world never comes into focus. Colors have never been brightened, horizons have never been formed, and faces have never cleared. Life has remained a literal blur. In their world, no eye doctor has ever gazed compassionately into their eyes. No glasses have ever been kindly fitted upon their face.

Resulting from a visit to the country of Honduras, Cross Eyed Missions was established in July, 200 as a non-profit charity dedicated to providing quality eye care to men and women, boys and girls, who would otherwise have no opportunity to see their world come into focus. Since it’s conception, Cross Eyed Missions has examined thousands of individuals, provided and distributed glasses free of charge.

As Cross Eyed Missions continues it work throughout the world, we continue to rely on the following aspects of our mission:

• Donation of new and used eyeglasses
• Support of Lions Club Organizations throughout the world
• Our family of volunteers who clean and sort glasses
• Volunteerism of eye care specialists and those called to serve as assistants
• Financial and spiritual support of many churches and friends
